ATT DY Series compromises of capacitor run, single phase, squirrel cage motors in Aluminium die cast frame. A removable foot mount is integrated in DY Series motors as an additional feature to enhance its mounting versatility. It can be used for general purpose applications in machines as well as in areas which have weight limits due to lighter aluminium frames. They are especially suitable for family workshops where only single-phase current supply is available.
DY Series motors are perfect for continuous tasks because it has the capacity to energize the entire time that it is operational. This type of single phase motor is rated from 1.5 to 100 µf (microfarads) and the starting torque is 30 – 70%. These specifications make this motor particularly suitable for applications with low starting torque requirements, such as fans, circular saws, polishing machines and centrifugal pumps where the shaft seal does not require a high breakaway torque.
